GARAGE DOOR STRUTS
A garage door struts is a metal bar that are installed horizontally across the panels of a garage door. Struts stiffen the garage door sections to prevent them from bending or breaking. They add rigidity and strength for long life and smooth operation. If the sections are not rigid, the garage door may bind as it opens and closes.
Residential Doors:
Three struts are recommended - Top & middle and bottom panel. Additional struts are recommended on other panels that are cracking or bending without a strut.

Struts strengthen the door sections and do an important job to reduce bending and breaking of panels. Struts also aid in doors opening and closing smoothly. Depending on the type and size of your door, your door should have certain amount of struts as noted above. If your door needs replacement struts or new struts added, give us a call. We will install or replace the struts based on your garage door size, type and weight.
